From time to time, as an SEO consultant, you come across some different SEO techniques that have been used before but just don’t seem to be used much. One technique that I use a lot is a linking tactic, which doesn’t seem to get much attention these days.

Most SEO’s are aware that an anchor link is the best format to use when linking back to a page using a text link, like “seo london”. In the context of a sentence, this would read as follows:

Today, we are looking for a good SEO London based company.

The phrase SEO London would be used as the link and the code using the text link format would look a little like this:

Today, we are looking for a good <a href=http://www.internetmarketinglondon.org.uk/seo-london.html>SEO London</a> based company.

This is the common way to format an SEO friendly link but take a look at the way I would format the link:

Today, we are looking for a good <a href=http://www.internetmarketinglondon.org.uk/seo-london.html#seolondon>SEO London</a> based company.

I have added #seolondon to the end of the url so it lands on a name anchor on the receicing page. I have tried and tested this with great results but as with normal text links, make sure it is varied if you are going to go on a mad link building campaign!

Today, we are looking for a good SEO London based company.
